The New Aesthetic

Task /

The project focus was the corset; it’s history, practical application and meteoric rise in fashion. The objective: to reinterpret & reimagine this into a new aesthetic. The concept was crafted and presented in miniature on a doll of our choosing and styling, which lead to a photoshoot with a model.
My project titled “Structure & Subversion” was inspired by the ‘punk’ ethos of Constantin Brancusi, the breakaway artist of his generation.
I was awarded third place in this competition.
